I have been moving at a snails pace on the ceramic horses, I know I need to break free from my old habits, its been a struggle. Trying to come up with a techinique I really enjoy, by combining what I have learned from others, and making things work that I am comfortable with. This piece has been this exercise in that. I have done more handwork to blend and shade than just airbrushing.

So far, I have been very pleased with the results, he still does have a bit of tweaking I need to do, but hopefully, barring storms due later today... I can fire up the kiln with another test Barrister Bonanza I am working on. I sure hope this will cross over to the earthenware, since the drafter is a porcelain. The color doesn't soak into the porcelain like it does in bisque, so I may have to tweak my tweaking...

Wednesday, the school year starts, my son will be a senior in high school. Time has really flown. Its serious time now for college selection. He is really looking forward to going back to school, I can't help but laugh, that is soooo unlike me, all I wanted to ever do was spend time at the barn where I boarded my horse, school was such a drag to me.
